Voting rules

How the pile is ranked, in five rules.

  1. One vote per game, per day

Every signed-in player can upvote each game once a day. Your votes reset at midnight UTC — come back tomorrow and vote again.

  2. Monthly seasons

The leaderboard ranks games by the votes they got this calendar month (UTC). On the 1st, the ranking starts from zero and last month’s results are frozen.

  3. The winners’ wall

The top three of every finished month are kept on the winners’ wall for good. Ties go to the game that joined the pile first.

  4. Today and All time

The Today and All time tabs are for fun — they don’t decide the monthly winners.

  5. Fair play

Vote-buying, bots and sock-puppet accounts get games removed. Sponsored banners never change the ranking.
